My Bio
Welcome to my little slice of the internet. I've always been bad at social networking, not even owning a Facebook. I'm not a "Twit", do not "Tumble", nor am I a "Mayor" of anything. However, I've allowed myself to create a page on DA to show a few scribbles.

In short, I started drawing in early 2007. With the help of the Divine and my art mentor, a former Disney man, I was able to achieve a great deal. Art will always be a hobby and a tool, never a true career. Considering that, it would lose more than a bit of intrinsic value.

I'd be glad to get to know you. Drop in whenever you like.

Sincerely,

Ant

Over the last few months of my time on DA, I've noticed that my sculpting works have received the majority of page views and overall interest. I guess it's a good thing to contemplate on a site like this. It's also a wonderful bit of "focus group" data. I started sculpting in late 2008 because I wanted to see characters drawn on paper put into three dimensions. It's been a wondrous journey making all of these little guys (mostly girls, I guess). Personally, however, these pieces have never been totally satisfactory to me yet but I'm willing to be patient and take my time working them all out. Aside from drawing, these maquettes are a total f

As the season closes, I'm left with the end of work and cash flow. Returning to school could mean more work and no cash flow. Such is university. Before the end, I've been anticipating a two week vacation away from the States. Armed with an iPad, there may be postings of quick sketches from life aboard an ocean liner. Always wanted to draw people.

Hi everyone, After making a few additions this month, I'm still considering putting more photos of sculptures. I like working with clay (Sculpey) almost as much as using pencil and paper. However, clay doesn't erase as well, especially as one learns with every project. This month will contain a paid commission for a close friend. I was never trained with expensive materials. The poor souls who I assisted at Michael's Arts & Crafts were not as happy to go to the academy. This was especially true with those $50 tubes of cadmium red. Yet this artist isn't selling many commissions nowadays anyway.
